Members of the Stakeholders' Group
The Stakeholders' Group involves key decision-makers and leaders from European standardisation bodies (such as CEN, CEN/ISSS, CENELEC, ETSI), industry associations, health authority associations, health professional representatives, user groups involving patients and citizens and representatives of current Sixth Framework Programme research and technology development co-financed projects and studies.
Planning and deliverables
The members of the Stakeholders' Group, who are experts and leaders in different health and technology domains in their own right, will be requested to provide specialist advice to the eHealth Working Group with specific regard to eHealth with two particular aims in mind:
- To review and assess the current activities in the field of interoperability of eHealth applications
at EU- and Member States-levels,
within a 3-month period. These activities would draw on initiatives currently being established or under consideration including various projects, studies, and working groups;
- To make concrete proposals to accelerate progress
ensuring the implementation of actions that result from the
eHealth Communication and Action Plan COM(2004) 356(final)
in the area of interoperability, within a 6-month period.
